On Saturday, I decided to go to MarineLand. I was originally going to go by myself, but my parents asked if they could come along. We stopped in the smart dealership in St. Catharines on the way there, so my parents could meet Ryan, the sales guy who is great who is going to sell me my car when I finally decided to buy it (probably in the fall!!). He answered a lot of questions for my dad and I think made him feel a lot more confident in the tiny car.
Here are some photos from MarineLand Canada, in Niagara Falls.
This is the area just behind the main entrance.
Near the entrance, a train track runs through the front section of the park, for a nearby factory.
My parents and I enjoy some sandwiches in the park.
The American Black Bears!
Sky Screamer... pneumatic freefall tower 140 m!
Entrance to Dragon Mountain!
Onride Dragon Mountain... it's a long way up
Here is where the train changes between lift chains.
Where the "Volcano" would have been
Inside the unusual structure
Entering the last tunnel...
It's deep!!
I love the station for Dragon Mountain.
The only HUSS Magic in North America.
As you can see, it was a very busy day at MarineLand!
You can see the Arctic Cove, and the path leading to the new expansion area for 2015.
On top of the mountain, the buildings are progressing for Sky Screamer!
I love this ride
The view is so great. There were no other people around for the evening, so the operators didnt' leave, so I couldn't take any pictures onride. But the view from up top is spectacular!
Friendship Cove and the very busy parking lot!
Sky Screamer from across the lake
Kandu's Twister.. this is probably the most intense ride in the park!
I like the boardwalks in this area of the park.
There are some very large fish in this lake!
Splashed by a rascal Beluga!
Bye!
After we left MarineLand, my parents and I walked around Niagara Falls. I only live ~100 km from the area, but I rarely go downtown because it is so busy and filled with tourists. I forgot how nice an area it is! So, here are some extra bonus photos from that. Save you the airfare from Germany.
Some of the wonderful Canadian goods you can find in the tourist area.
This is the new 1 Billion dollar Casino... I wanted to go there for one reason though...
...to see this sculpture. It is dedicated to the hydroelectric power that is generated by OPG.
Some outside views of the Casino...
Here's Sky Screamer from downtown!
And finally, a shot my mom took of the falls.
See ya later!
