thrillnetwork.com Jul. 21st, 2006 -- Universal Studios Japan is building a new roller coaster next year to attract even more visitors then they have this year.

The new attraction will be the first that will be built in more then one area of the park. The roller coaster will start near the park entrance and go out to the lagoon towards the center of the park. At more then fourteen stories tall, the new roller coaster will feature a 50-degree drop from morea hear of 144 feet. There will be 4 trains carrying 36 passengers.

Universal estimates that it will spend more than $50 million to construct the roller coaster making it the second largest investment towards a new attraction. The company hopes that will attract more visitors with this major attraction, due to the fact that attendance was down in the first quarter of this year.
